Reduce the Breast Cancer Death Rate & Increase Mammography Screening
Created by scientists within and outside the federal government, Healthy People 2010 is a comprehensive set of disease prevention and health promotion objectives for the nation. It identifies a range of public health priorities, along with measurable objectives, in such disease areas as cancer, chronic kidney disease, stroke, heart disease, and respiratory diseases.1 Among its primary health goals is a reduction in the breast cancer death rate through increased use of mammography.
